Lime juice to lighten birthmark?

Iv heard that lemon juice can lighten skin, but all i have is lime juice, iv heard it works too. i started useing lime juice on my birthmark today, i have noticed a bit of lighting, i was wondering if i keep doing this, if it would eventually go away? and if there are any better ways, like bleach? and iv been told its a "coffee and cream" birthmark.
