Do only children inherit more money?

The amount that any child can inherit before inheritance tax is set in state law (you can check for your country or state online). This is the amount per child, and it does not increase just because the child is an only one. The fact that an only child does not have to share the inheritance with siblings only means there is a far greater chance he will end up with a bigger inheritance, and have a bigger tax bill.
